Get a load of these guys, hey? They've just completed five laps of a course in Fish Hoek Bay, mixing it up with the South Africans on their turf!
The occasion is the 13th installment of the 2025-26 Sea Dog Race Series. It took place Friday evening.
In the middle of the photo we have Bjørn Kristensen, who I think is from Sweden, though he could be from one of those other Scandinavian nations. On the far right, that's me! And yes, I'm still a little annoyed that I couldn't outsprint Bjørn up to the finish line, but hey, the cookie doesn't always crumble my way.
As for the guy behind us: my best guess is that's Mark Allen, who, according to the results, crossed the line 25 seconds after I did. I'll gladly make the correction if anybody recognizes him as somebody else.
