In the fall of 2018 I found myself racing in the upper reaches of Lake Cumberland in southern Kentucky. We're on the Big South Fork arm of the manmade reservoir, skirting the carcasses of some submerged trees. That's me on the right, followed closely by Ryan Landis of Corwin, Ohio.
