The Vicksburg Post the day after the 2011 Bluz Cruz Canoe and Kayak Race. That year I had my fastest time ever--an hour, 56 minutes, 34 seconds--and that time stood for two years as the course record. In 2013, three-time Olympian Mike Herbert knocked almost five minutes off my mark with a 1:51:43 clocking.
